ReplyDeleteTo all of Bongi's fans: Vote early. Vote often.
You've already won, just by the recognition. Well done!
ReplyDeleteHere's hoping you win - you certainly deserve it :-)
ReplyDeletethank you all. i must admit i'm quite cuffed.
ReplyDeletedrwes, i fully agree. the final adjudication is a vote which means in the end it's about traffic and popularity and that contest i won't win. however the being a finalists is a selection process done hopefully by people that evaluate he blog for its literary value and that means a lot.
Outstanding!! Its always a pleasure to read your work!
ReplyDeleteCongrats - hope you do well.

Nice score Bongi. Congrats.
ReplyDeleteI'm a fan because your blog isn't pretentious or self-aggrandizing....and your style doesn't interrupt the flow of the story. I hate that. When you're reading something and you know the person looked up synonyms for 'pale' to make it sound more literary. Buh.
Best of luck--ABB.
you got a lot of syncophants
ReplyDeletePercy, I like that you called me a syncophant - kinda makes me sound like a groovy, rhythmic elephant. I'm pretty sure that wasn't what you meant tho!! I'm thinking you meant sycophant ... but - in relation to my appreciation of Bongi's blog - I'm cool with that too!!
ReplyDeletei meant chuffed. finger slipped/ sorry.
ReplyDeletealbino, you're right. i don't look up words or synonyms. that is why i am neither going to look up syncophants or sycophant and just sort of hope it means something at least not totally bad.
anyway, thanks for all the comments. they mean a lot to me, actually.
Congratulations--the blog is fantastic
ReplyDeleteWhat Jabulani said. LOL, was thinking the very same.

Bongi: you're not gonna go rushing off to look up syncophants?? Darnit, I was soooo hoping you would cuz then you could tell me! Now I'll just have to stick to all my proof-reading! And being a suck-up...
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! You may hope that your inability to use capital letters doesn't work against you.
ReplyDeleteBongi
